A volunteer board governs WWFHC. It is made up of community members, non-profit leaders and health care representatives. The board is made up of a majority (at least 51%) of WWFHC users, which keeps the voice of our patients strong in our leadership.
If you are a consumer of services at WWFHC and are interested in serving on a committee, please email Info@wwfhc.org.
WWFHC is open Monday through Friday, with appointment times all day. Call 313-561-5100 to make an appointment.
You can often get a “same day” appointment and we also see walk in patients. If you have a dental problem, or are sick, you can come in and we will do our best to get you in for care that same day. We can’t guarantee all walk in patients will be seen, but we will try! It is best to come in early in the day for a walk in and you may need to wait.
Dental appointments are best made in advance—but we do have walk in appointments for emergencies whenever possible.
Appointments for OB care should be made ahead of time—especially if it is the first appointment for your prenatal care. Call as soon as you find out you are pregnant—or even come in while you are trying to get pregnant—for a visit. Early care is best for you and your baby.
We also offer women’s health services (birth control, treatment of sexually transmitted infections, Pap smears, menstrual problems) too with both our Doctors and Nurse Practitioners.
If you are having a medical emergency, please call 911 or go to the closest emergency room for care.
In urgent situations after hours, our patients can call the center number and be connected with our answering service. They will contact the provider on-call for you who will call you back.
