Cost

You can afford quality health care! At WWFHC, we offer a variety of payment options to ensure that you get the medical, dental, and behavioral health care that you need. Our sliding fee scale means that if you don’t have insurance that covers services, we charge you according to your income.

Please note that payment for copays is due at the time of service and can be paid via cash, check, or debit/credit card.

Copays

If your insurance plan has a copay, we do expect payment at the time of service.

If you don’t have insurance, we will determine a copay for you based on your income, which will be due at the time of service. You’ll need to bring in proof of your income and your household income (such as tax returns, bank statements showing deposits of unemployment benefits, or paycheck stubs) so that we can calculate your copay for the cost of the visit.

If you have Medicaid or the Healthy Michigan Plan,  there are no copays at  WWFHC.

You can pay with cash, check, or debit/credit card.

Sliding Fee Scale

All services at Western Wayne Family Health Centers are open to everyone — with or without insurance!

If you don’t have insurance, our team will work with you to see if you qualify for Medicaid or the Healthy Michigan Plan.

If you’re unable to get insurance or have insurance coverage with a high deductible, we offer affordable medical and dental healthcare services through our Sliding Fee Scale program. This program is based on family size and income, and you must provide us with proof of income in order to determine the cost of your care. There are various forms of proof of income that we accept — your most recent tax return and pay stubs are the most common.

Good Faith Estimates

No one likes surprises — especially when it comes to their health! You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate, which will explain how much your medical care will cost.

Healthcare providers are required by law to give an estimate of the bill for medical items and services to patients who either don’t have insurance or aren’t planning to use their insurance.

  • Good Faith Estimates should include the total expected cost of any non-emergency items orservices, including medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees
  • You can request that your healthcare provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item
  • You can ask your healthcare provider for a Good Faith estimate before you schedule a service
  • If you receive a bill that is $400 or more above your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute that bill

Make sure to save a copy or picture of your written Good Faith Estimate.
